Originally from California, Dr. Rob Ensley attended Ohio State University for his undergraduate studies before completing his optometric education and residency at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis College of Optometry, where he graduated with honors. His residency was in Cornea and Contact Lenses, and he is trained in specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, orthokeratology lenses, and multifocal contact lenses. Dr. Ensley served as the National Liaison for the American Optometric Association’s Cornea and Contact Lens Section while a student at UMSL.
In his spare time, Dr. Ensley enjoys spending time with his wife Jackie and their two Siberian Huskies.
Time in Private Practice:
He currently specializes in fitting difficult-to-fit patients, including those with keratoconus or irregular corneas, corneal transplants, post-RK or LASIK patients, and patients suffering from severe dry eye or ocular surface disease. Dr. Ensley is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Scleral Lens Education Society, the Kentucky Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Additionally, he has lectured on the topic of contact lenses to both students and doctors and authored several articles for Review of Cornea and Contact Lenses.
